Shikakai hair soap contains saponins (purely natural, plant-based soap-like substances). It acts like a very gentle shampoo (especially mild) and cleanses without harsh chemicals or sulfates. It stimulates scalp circulation, which in turn promotes hair growth. It also reduces hair loss and strengthens the hair roots. Shikakai extract offers even more benefits: with every wash, it makes hair soft and manageable (similar to a conditioner) and closes the hair cuticle, giving it a natural shine. Shikakai is slightly acidic, which has antibacterial properties and is very soothing for irritated and sensitive scalps. It optimizes the pH balance and smooths the hair structure, preventing it from looking straw-like.

Natural hair soap should ideally not be used with industrial hair products, as these contain synthetic additives that can hinder the natural regeneration process by causing the hair cuticles to stick together. If you also want to treat your hair with a conditioner, you can make an acidic rinse: take a glass of lukewarm water and a tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar, massage it into wet hair, and then rinse it out. This will help to seal the hair cuticle and add shine.
The citric acid in the formula prevents limescale from penetrating the hair when washing it, therefore it is indispensable.
